For 2025, there are a few changes to make vsBadminton easier to use.

Email Login

Nobody likes having to remember passwords, so it is now possible, if you set an email address on your account, to log in by receiving an email link instead. For a new account, you don’t even have to set a username or a password if you don’t want to. If you prefer to use a password, that is still an option.

For a new user, on the Register screen, it is possible to leave the Username and Password fields blank and just enter an email address.

Naming Clubs

The “Description” field that always existed when you set up a club is now used instead of the short name when starting a new session, and shown on the results tables.

If you didn’t set a description, or if you want to change it, there is now a “Rename Club” button on the menu where you can do that.

The short name is still used internally in the system, to uniquely identify your sessions, but the Descriptions will effectively be the names of your clubs going forward. Currently, the short name is shown in brackets after the description, but that is to help avoid confusion in the short term and will eventually go away.
